In 2018, the team of Viktoriya Tigipko and Viroslava Novosylna began to create communities for leaders in the tech industry. The reason for this was the gender imbalance in the various rural areas and the level of income. In particular, only 3 of 100 top managers of companies on the Fortune 500 list were dominated by women, and among the founders of startups, women accounted for only 15%, while tech companies with women in management earned an average of 34% more.

The main purpose of the relationship was to help women develop in their careers, business, networking, mentoring, and role models. Then, under the hour of Covid-19, Wtech provided the participants with mentoring support in digitalization of business, transition to online and a new format of work.

With the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the community began to support women from the tech industry who had lost their jobs in Ukraine or had migrated to other countries. To help them enter new ecosystems and expand their network of acquaintances.

Today, Wtech offers the greatest global strength for female leaders in the tech business. A team of over 50 volunteers around the world will help develop the community. We stand for the promotion of human values, the principles of diversity and inclusivity, and the expanded capabilities of women in tech.
